Odnoklassniki (OK.ru) is one of Russia's biggest social networks, and it has no built-in way to download a video: there is no "Save to device" button, and old browser extensions break after every site update. Yet the need comes up all the time. You want to keep a recipe, a concert recording, a clip from a group or your own video whose original got lost. Below is a method that works in a browser on a phone and a computer: copy the link, paste it into Skachok, get an MP4 up to 1080p or an MP3. No software, no sign-up and no VPN.
Which links work
Odnoklassniki shows video in several places, and the addresses differ. Skachok understands the main variants:
ok.ru/video/1234567890is the regular video page. The most reliable option.m.ok.ru/video/…is the same page from the mobile version of the site.- The "Share → Copy link" link from the OK app. It leads to the same video page.
If a video is embedded in a group post, open it full screen. The address in the browser bar changes to ok.ru/video/…. That is the one to copy. A link to the post itself or to the group page will not work: it contains several clips, and the service cannot tell which one you want.
One more rule: strip everything after the ?. Parameters like ?st._aid=… change nothing, but they sometimes get in the way of recognizing the address.
How to download video from OK.ru: step by step
The whole process takes under a minute.
- Open the video on Odnoklassniki. On a computer, copy the address from the browser bar. In the app, tap "Share" and choose "Copy link".
- Go to the Odnoklassniki page on Skachok and paste the link into the field. The clipboard button pastes it in one tap.
- Click "Find". Within a few seconds the video card appears: title, duration, available qualities.
- Pick a quality in the "Video" block or the MP3 format in the "Audio" block.
- Click "Download". The file is saved to your Downloads folder.

From a phone: iPhone and Android
No apps needed; everything works in a regular browser.
On Android, open Skachok in Chrome. After you tap "Download", the file goes to the "Download" folder, and the gallery picks it up automatically. If the video does not show up in the gallery right away, open the "Files" app and find it under downloads.

The file-size limit depends on the plan: up to 5 GB on Free, up to 15 GB on Lite, up to 30 GB on Pro. For an ordinary film in 720p that is plenty.

Odnoklassniki stores video in several resolutions, up to 1080p, depending on what the author uploaded. Skachok shows every available option.
- 720p and below is free. That is standard HD, enough for a phone and most monitors.
- 1080p Full HD starts with the Lite plan at $1.99 a month (99 ₽ in Russia).
A quirk of OK.ru: the site delivers video as an HLS stream cut into fragments. The service assembles them into a single MP4 on the server, so after you click "Download" you will see a build progress bar. It usually takes a few seconds, longer for full-length films.
The sound can be extracted on its own: MP3 at 192 kbps is available on paid plans (from Lite). That is handy for recorded lectures, interviews and concerts.
Why the old methods stopped working
Videos from OK.ru used to be downloaded with browser extensions or services that substituted a direct link to the file. Odnoklassniki changed its player and delivery format several times, and most of those tools broke. Today the video is served not as a single file but as a stream of fragments. An extension that cannot assemble such a stream either does not see the file at all or delivers the clip without sound.
Skachok parses links on the server, not in your browser. When the platform changes something, one server gets fixed rather than thousands of installed extensions. If the video is not found
A few typical causes and what to do about them.
- The video is private. "Friends only" clips and videos from closed groups are not available. The service sees the page the same way a logged-out visitor does. Check whether the link opens in an incognito window.
- It is a live broadcast. Streams cannot be downloaded while they are running. Wait for the end; the recording appears on the author's page and can then be saved.
- Extra characters in the link. Remove the parameters after
?and any spaces around the address. - A temporary platform error. At peak hours OK.ru sometimes responds slowly. Wait a minute and click "Find" again.
