How to download — step by step

    Copy the post link

    In the X app, tap the “Share” icon under the post (the arrow) and choose “Copy link”. On the website, open the post and copy the address from the browser bar — it looks like x.com/username/status/1234567890.

    Tip: The link must point to the post with the video itself, not to a profile or feed. Short t.co/XXXX links from the app and x.com/i/status/… links work too.

    Paste the link into Skachok

    Paste the link into the field and click “Find”. A couple of seconds later a card appears with a preview, the author and a list of qualities — usually 360p, 720p and 1080p, depending on the uploaded original.

    Tip: Old twitter.com/… links work just like new x.com/… ones — no need to change the domain.

    Click the quality you need — the watermark-free MP4 starts downloading right away. A GIF from X is saved as a short MP4 — that's how the platform itself stores it.

On your phone and computer

On iPhone

On iPhone, open skachok.com in Safari, paste the link and tap a quality. The file lands in “Files” → “Downloads”; to move the video to “Photos”, open it and tap “Share” → “Save Video”.

On Android

On Android, in Chrome or any other browser, the file is saved to the Download folder and is instantly visible in “Gallery”. From there you can send the video to Telegram or WhatsApp with one tap.

On a computer

  • Copy the address from the browser bar, paste it on skachok.com and click “Find”. The file is saved to “Downloads”.
  • For 1080p and above we merge video and audio on the server — it takes from 10 seconds to a couple of minutes.
  • If your player has no sound, open the file in VLC or pick another quality.

FAQ

Can I download GIFs from X?
Yes. X stores “GIFs” as short looped videos without sound, so the file is saved as MP4 — it's smaller and opens everywhere. If you need an actual GIF, any converter makes one from an MP4 in seconds.
What quality can I download in?
Up to 1080p if the author uploaded the video in that quality; X often re-encodes videos down to 720p. We show every option the platform serves. Without an account — up to 720p; 1080p starts with the Lite plan or on the Pro trial you get for signing up.
Can I download a video from a protected (private) account?
No. Posts from accounts with a lock icon are visible only to approved followers — we get the same thing as a visitor who isn't signed in. Public posts download without any problems.
What if the post is marked as “sensitive content”?
X sometimes shows such posts only after signing in, and downloading them doesn't always work. Give it a try — if the video opens without signing in, it will download.
Can I download live broadcasts and Spaces?
Live broadcasts — no. Recordings of broadcasts and Spaces don't always work — try pasting the link; regular videos from posts are guaranteed to download.
Will there be a watermark?
No. We take the original file X serves — no logos or usernames. The sound can be saved separately as MP3.
