How to download — step by step

    Copy the video link

    In the Dzen app, open the video, tap “Share” (the arrow under the player or in the “···” menu) and choose “Copy link”. On the website, copy the address from the browser bar — it looks like dzen.ru/video/watch/6aa7e6919b45bd0ff0010cea.

    Tip: If the video opened inside the feed, tap its title to go to its own page — then the address contains /video/watch/ and the link is sure to work.

    Paste the link into Skachok

    Paste the link into the field and click “Find”. In a few seconds a card appears with the preview, title and the list of available qualities — usually 360p, 480p, 720p and 1080p.

    Tip: Parameters after the “?” (such as ?t=… or UTM tags) can stay — we drop them ourselves.

    Pick a quality and download

    Click the quality you need — the file is assembled on the server and starts downloading as MP4. The assembly progress and approximate size are shown on the card.

    Tip: For interviews and talk videos, choose MP3 in the “Audio” block — save just the sound.

Why download videos from Dzen

Dzen hosts lectures, reviews and TV show recordings, but the app can't save them to your device, and channels and videos often vanish from the feed.

On your phone and computer

On iPhone

On iPhone, open skachok.com in Safari, paste the link and tap a quality. The finished MP4 is saved to Files → Downloads; to move it to Photos, open the file and tap “Share” → “Save Video”.

On Android

On Android, in Chrome or Yandex Browser the file goes to the Download folder and shows up right away in your gallery and any player. The download progress is visible in the notification shade.

On a computer

  • Copy the address from the browser bar, paste it on skachok.com and click “Find”. The file is saved to “Downloads”.
  • For 1080p and above we merge video and audio on the server — it takes from 10 seconds to a couple of minutes.
  • If your player has no sound, open the file in VLC or pick another quality.

FAQ

What quality can I download from Dzen?
Up to 1080p if the author uploaded the video in that quality. We show every option Dzen serves. Without an account — up to 720p; 1080p starts on the Lite plan or with the 2-day Pro gift for signing up.
Which links work?
You need a link to the video page: dzen.ru/video/watch/…. Links to a channel, the feed or an article without a video won't work — open the video itself and copy its address.
Can I download live streams?
An ongoing broadcast can't be downloaded. Once the stream ends and the recording appears on the channel page as a regular video, it can be downloaded from its dzen.ru/video/watch/… link.
Do I need a VPN or a Yandex account?
No. Dzen is a Russian service and our server fetches the video directly. You don't need to sign in to a Yandex account either — public videos are open to everyone.
Why is the file assembled instead of downloading right away?
Dzen serves video as a stream of short segments, and we stitch them into a single MP4 on the server. For a 10-minute video that takes seconds, for a long show a couple of minutes. No need to close the tab.
Can I download only the audio?
Yes. Choose MP3 (192 kbps) in the “Audio” block after the search. Paid plans also offer M4A, OGG and FLAC.
