The "Save" button on a video pin sends it to your board, not to your phone's storage: the Pinterest app cannot download a video. There is a simpler way than screen recording: copy the pin link from the app, open Skachok in a browser and get a regular MP4. That is how you download Pinterest videos on a phone, on iPhone and Android alike, with nothing to install and no account. The link from the app: pin.it
In the Pinterest app a pin link takes two taps to copy. Open the video so it fills the screen, then tap the "Share" icon (the arrow under the video or in the three-dot menu) and choose "Copy link". The clipboard now holds a short address like pin.it/2AbCdEf. Skachok expands it by itself.
If you use Pinterest in a mobile browser instead, copy the address from the address bar (pinterest.com/pin/... followed by a long number); both kinds of links work the same way.
One limitation: do not download through the browser built into the Pinterest app, it opens websites but usually cannot save files. Use regular Safari, Chrome or any other browser.
Pinterest video on iPhone through Safari
On iPhone the file first goes to Files and is then moved to Photos. That is standard iOS behaviour and adds one extra step.
- Copy the pin link in the Pinterest app as described above.
- Open Safari and go to the Pinterest page on Skachok.
- Tap the link field and choose "Paste". Press "Find".
- The card shows a preview and a list of qualities. Pick one: 720p is enough for a phone screen.
- Press "Download". On the free plan an 8-second timer runs, then Safari asks whether to download the file. Confirm; a downloads icon with an arrow appears top right.
- When the arrow stops moving, open Files then Downloads, tap the video, then "Share" and "Save Video". The clip appears in Photos.
The short route to save a Pinterest video to the gallery: tap the downloads icon in Safari, then the file, and straight from the player choose "Share" then "Save Video". Screen recording gives a re-encoded copy with interface elements around the edges; Safari and Skachok deliver the source file, so downloading a Pinterest video on an iPhone comes down to these six steps.
Download Pinterest videos on Android
Android is simpler: the browser writes straight to the downloads folder, and the gallery picks up new videos on its own.
Open Chrome (Samsung Internet and other browsers work too), go to Skachok, paste the pin.it link and press "Find". Choose the quality and press "Download". Chrome shows a download notification and puts the file into the Download folder in internal storage.
A few seconds later the clip shows up in the gallery: in Google Photos or the manufacturer's Gallery app, usually in an album called "Download" or "Downloads". If the gallery does not see it, open the Files app, then Downloads: the file is there, the gallery just has not refreshed yet. There is no separate step to save a Pinterest video to the gallery on Android.

Sound: muted in the feed, present in the file
In the Pinterest feed videos start muted; that is how autoplay works, and it makes video pins seem silent. In fact the file contains an audio track if the author uploaded one, and Skachok delivers the clip together with it. Checking is easy: open the pin full screen and tap the speaker icon.
There are also genuinely silent pins: animations Pinterest re-encoded into a short MP4, and clips where the author removed the sound. There is no track to extract from those. If you only need the audio, on Lite and higher the "Audio" block gives an MP3.
Which quality to pick and how big the file is
Video pins are short, usually 15 to 60 seconds, so they weigh little even in 1080p. The Skachok card lists only the qualities the author uploaded: if the clip was uploaded in 720p, there is no 1080p option.

Several pins at once
Copy the links one after another and paste them into the Skachok field one per line. The Pinterest app overwrites the clipboard every time, so paste after each copy, not at the end. The service shows a card for every pin; download them individually or all together. The free plan accepts 3 links at a time, Lite 5, Pro 10, Max 50.

The link opens a board, not a video
The most common reason Skachok cannot find a clip: the link does not point to a pin. In the app it is easy to copy the address of a board or a profile, for example by tapping "Share" on the board screen rather than on the video itself. Such a link looks like pinterest.com/username/board-name/, and a short pin.it link looks the same either way.
The fix: go back to the app, open the video itself full screen so that the author and the description are visible under it, and only then tap "Share" then "Copy link". If the clip sits on someone's secret board, it is unavailable: the service sees Pinterest as a logged-out user.
