- Open the clip or the VOD on Kick.

Long VODs: size and time
A stream can last many hours, and the file grows with it:
- A 3-hour VOD in 720p60 is often 3–6 GB, depending on how much moves on screen.
- The free plan accepts files up to 5 GB, Lite up to 15 GB, Pro up to 30 GB, Max has no size limit.
- Long VODs take several minutes to prepare; keep the page open until the download starts.
To save space, choose 480p for talk streams where the picture matters less, or keep only the audio.
Audio only: podcasts and talk streams
Many Kick streams are talk shows, podcasts and just-chatting sessions that work fine as audio. Open the Audio tab and choose MP3 or M4A. Audio formats start with the Lite plan. A three-hour talk stream as MP3 is a small fraction of the video size and plays on any phone.
On a phone
On iPhone, the MP4 goes to the Files app, in Downloads; open it and tap Share → "Save Video" to move it to Photos. On Android, it lands in the Download folder and appears in the gallery. For editing on the phone, open the file in CapCut or another editor.

Kick keeps VODs for a limited time, so if you want a permanent copy for YouTube uploads, sponsor reports or a highlight reel, download each VOD shortly after the stream. Name the files by date and game, for example "2026-10-28 ranked grind", so a year of streams stays easy to search.

- The stream is still live: wait for the VOD.
- VODs are disabled on the channel, or the VOD was deleted.
