How to Download Facebook Videos in HD

How to download — step by step

    Copy the video link

    In the app, tap “Share” under the video → “Copy link”. On the website, click “…” in the top right corner of the post → “Copy link”, or open the video and copy the address from the browser bar.

    Tip: The app usually gives a short fb.watch/… or facebook.com/share/v/… link — both work. It just has to point to a video, not a profile or group.

    Paste the link into Skachok

    Paste the link into the field on the home page and click “Find”. We show a preview and the available qualities — Facebook usually stores SD and HD (720p or 1080p) — plus an MP3 option.

    Tip: If the service says “not found”, check that the video opens in an incognito browser window without signing in to Facebook — that means it is public.

    Pick a quality and click “Download”. The file is saved to your Downloads. Without an account — up to 720p and 3 downloads a day; signing up gives 5 a day and 2 days of Pro as a gift.

On your phone and computer

On iPhone

In Safari, paste the link and tap “Download”. The file lands in Files → Downloads; to get it into Photos, open it and choose “Share” → “Save Video”.

On Android

In Chrome the MP4 is saved to the Downloads folder and shows up in your gallery.

On a computer

  • Copy the address from the browser bar, paste it on skachok.com and click “Find”. The file is saved to “Downloads”.
  • For 1080p and above we merge video and audio on the server — it takes from 10 seconds to a couple of minutes.
  • If your player has no sound, open the file in VLC or pick another quality.

FAQ

Can I download a video from a closed group or a private page?
No. We only work with public videos — the ones that open without signing in to Facebook. Videos from closed groups, friends-only profiles and private messages are not supported.
Does it work with Reels?
Yes. Copy the Reel link (facebook.com/reel/…) and paste it just like a regular video.
Can I download a live stream?
Not while it is live. Once the broadcast ends, Facebook publishes the recording as a regular video, and you can download it from the post link.
Is there a watermark?
No, Facebook doesn't watermark the source files — you get a clean video.
What quality is available?
Usually SD (360p–480p) and HD (720p, sometimes 1080p) — it depends on what the author uploaded. Without a Skachok account you get up to 720p; 1080p starts on the Lite plan.
Do I need a VPN?
Not for downloading: Skachok fetches the file from its own server. You may only need a VPN to open Facebook itself and copy the link, if it is blocked where you are.
